(WiMAX IP Core Network Engineer) Job Description
Higher level education in a technical field (university degree in computer science, information technology or communications engineering) or perennial experience in the telecommunications industry:
perennial experience in integration and optimization of IP networks
Strong knowledge in TCP/IP application
technically strong in mobile IP Technology & WiMAX ASN-GW.
experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
experience with Ethernet and MPLS would be an asset
experience with IOS and Cisco components (CCNP/CCIP level) would be an asset
experience with PPPoE, L2TP, GRE, mobile-IP and IP-QoS would be an asset
Technically strong in EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, EAP-SIM, RADIUS and DIAMETER protocols would be an asset
Good understanding in QOS (Quality of Services) service flow, Billing and Customer Care systems (BCCS)
Well versed in IP technology, routing protocol and MPLS.
Professional qualifications e.g. CCNA/CCNP/CCIE are desirable.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Able to work independently and be self-motivated.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Experience in collaboration with partners and suppliers
team spirit, willingness to learn and self-managed working
Individual with lesser experience but eager to learn will also be considered.Requirements
To manage WiMAX core network..
ASN –GW AAA and HA capacity dimensioning according to forecasted subscribers and data traffic.
To work closely with WiMAX Access Network and IP core teams.
Operational troubleshooting and upgrades.
To provide technical consultancy and assistance.
Provides second level (L2) technical support for carrier grade router/switch and management system to internal and external customers.
Supports a wide range of IP products.
Independently troubleshoot & debug product problems.
Ensures that all trouble tickets are properly logged .
Effectively utilizes lab setups to formulate problem replication procedures prior to escalation to L3 support.
Prepare technical RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports
Ensure timely feedback to customer in accordance with SLA.
